Chimney Rock Trail Ride – Tanque Verde

Chimney Rock Trail Ride – Tanque Verde

I almost always enjoy this trail ride because it feeds you in and out of a wash that is surrounded by large trees. Mid November when the colors are at their peak it is one of the most beautiful trail in southern AZ.

See the run in I had with a tree below. It took out both of the back door windows and damaged the door bad enough that it had to be replaced. A little trail carnage just us the we are living on or near the edge.

One of the Jeeps had a mechanical issue so we doubled up and went for it anyway.

It rained all day and we got pretty stuck in the mud a few times near the end of the trail. All in all it was a great day. My wife would say it was an expensive day on the trail but trail carnage can be priceless. Don’t tell her I said so.
